What makes a Bertello

Bake Even Rotating Stone
Even cooking without the need to manually rotate the pizza. Plug the oven into an outlet, or use AA batteries, then flip a switch to engage the turntable.

FlameThrower Dual Burner System
One burner heats the stone from underneath for the crust, the other cooks the toppings from above. You can’t flip a pizza, so Bertello heats it from both sides.
Other backyard pizza ovens have single burners that cook from either above or below. The problem with this is that pizza is a two-layer food. The crust on bottom, toppings (cheese, sauce, meat and veggies) on top. Heating from just above or below short changes one or the other and makes it more difficult to properly cook each. The result can be either burnt crust or undercooked toppings.
Bertello solves this problem with the exclusive “FlameThrower” Dual Burner System, two separate burners that heat the stone from underneath and cook the toppings from above. The premium, full length “Under-The-Stone” burner extends fully from back to front to heat the stone evenly for consistent crust-cooking performance. The second burner, the “Over-The-Toppings” burner resides above the pizza in the back of the oven where it ensures the toppings get properly cooked. Only Bertello offers this FlameThrower Dual Burner System!
Note: Cooking pizza is different from grilling a burger or steak on a grill where you can flip the food to cook both sides. You can’t flip a pizza. That’s why we created the FlameThrower Dual (Over-and-Under) Burner system!

Patented SimulFIRE Technology
The convenience of cooking with gas and the flavor from cooking with wood. A Bertello burns both, at the same time.
There are many gas-fire pizza ovens on the market. Gas is a worthy fuel choice because a gas-fire pizza oven is convenient to use. It fires up fast, burns hot, provides consistent temps over time and the fuel is widely available.
That said, many prefer wood because of the mystique of cooking with wood-fire plus the flavor imparted by a wood-fire oven cannot be matched. So, how does one choose? With a Bertello, you don’t have to because a Bertello burns both gas AND wood and not just one or the other. It burns both at the same time! With Bertello’s patented SimulFIRE Technology you get the convenience of cooking with gas and the flavor from cooking with wood.

Burns hot
Gas fires up fast, burns hot and provides consistent temps over time, with wood in the tray for flavor.

Construction
A stout carbon/stainless steel body with a heat-resistant Bertello-black powder coating, for long-lasting durability.

Built to stand
Folding legs with a wide stance keep the oven ultra-stable while it bakes.

Why owners switch
“I had a different oven that uses pellets, but between tending the fire and rotating pizzas, I was so occupied that I was not able to share much with guests or companions.”

A little learning curve, then it’s easy. Owners call it out themselves.
Bertello became an instant hit after appearing on Shark Tank in 2020, and has since also felt the effects of a growing market for outdoor ovens.
The company manufactures its Bertello Outdoor Pizza Oven with an insert for charcoal and wood, which is a great option for those who love smoky flavors.
